I’m Esther—Product Designer based in Seattle. I value storytelling and aim to design intuitive, playful, and accessible interactions and products to empower people.
I’m recently graduated from the School of Visual Arts
MFA Interaction Design Program and will be joining the
Xbox team at Microsoft in July 2023.
In 2020, I graduated with a
BS in Human-Centered Design and Engineering from the University of Washington. While in school, I helped startups develop brand identities and design systems, and launch MVP products.
In my free time, you may catch me in the rock climbing gym, shredding down the mountain, or watching true crime documentaries at home. I also love talking to aspiring designers to help them understand UX and the tech industry. Let me know if I can be of any help in your journey.
Starting my sophomore year of college, I first learned the design process during K-12 Outreach, along with the kids. Something we repeated a lot to the kids was "Put your users first" and it quickly became something I truly valued.
The HCDE major taught me to bring diverse perspectives while designing inclusively and accessibly for my audiences. Additionally, HCDE prepared me to become a design thinker who understands the goals and consequences (both intended and unintended) behind each design in every stage of the process.
Several project experiences and internships prepared me to become a designer who understands research findings and makes impactful designs that meet and exceed business metrics.
